MARK DARR SIGNS TAXPAYER PROTECTION PLEDGE

Rogers, AR: Republican Lieutenant Governor candidate Mark Darr proudly
signed the Americans for Tax Reform Taxpayer Protection Pledge earlier
today. Darr stated, “I am firmly committed that I will oppose all efforts
to increase taxes. It seems in today’s society, politicians want to tax
first and ask questions later. I support the ATR and their effort to bring
transparency and accountability to government.”

Americans for Tax Reform was founded by Grover Norquist in 1985. Since
1986, ATR has sponsored the Tax Payer Protection Pledge after President
Ronald Reagan endorsed the idea. It encourages candidate to put their
promise to not raise taxes into writing.

Darr joins a small handful of Arkansans who have signed the pledge. He is
the only candidate for Lieutenant Governor to sign the pledge.
